Classes » SCRI 525-Virtual, Winter 2026

Name

The Gospels

Description

This course examines the four Gospels as documents of history and faith written by the evangelists for early Christian believers as a record of Jesus’ life, ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. The course studies the three stages of evolution of the Gospels from Jesus’ earthly life, to the oral tradition, and the written Gospels themselves. Each of the Gospels is scrutinized for its theological emphases, both those held in common amongst the Gospels and the unique theological motivations of each evangelist.
