Courses » THEO 560: Christian Anthropology

Description

This course covers key anthropological elements of the Christian theological tradition as expressed in doctrinal statements, biblical exegesis and systematic theological interpretation. Discussion centers on key notions such as the image of God, sin, grace, finitude, freedom and interdisciplinary implications. The course examines how Catholic theology in particular understands the human condition, in light of select, contemporary debates, such as those in culture, social ethics and bio-medical controversies.
